Parents may find it difficult to choose a Christmas present or thank you gift for a child's teacher. One solution is to have the student help make a gift basket.

Parents often want to show gratitude to their child's teachers for the hard work they do to help each child learn. Children also want to show their teachers that they enjoy learning in school everyday. One way to do this is to give teachers thoughtful and personalized gift baskets for Christmas presents during the holidays. Gift baskets can also be given to thank teachers at the end of the school year.

What should be included in gift baskets for teachers? Many parents do not know their child's teacher on a personal level, and therefore have no idea what he or she might like for a Christmas present. With some guidance from parents, children can decide what items their teachers would like best, making this a truly unique and thoughtful present.

Choosing a Gift Basket for a Teacher

The "basket" used for this present can be a typical wicker basket, or it can be something totally original. Here are some other ideas for how to start this gift.

  • Use a small set of desktop drawers. This is similar to a desk organizer because it can be filled with small presents and then reused.
  • A reusable tote. These are great for carrying books, papers or even groceries!
