» roaming27 - The two camps of gift wrap

In response to The two camps of gift wrap posted by bici:
When I was growing up my mother saved everything. So we were very careful when opening gifts. And the wrapping paper would be gently straightened out and neatly folded, until needed again when it would be possibly ironed to get the creases out.

I used to enjoy and admire my mum curling ribbons with a sharp knife. She was great with wrapping up gifts, I don't have the knack. She always double folded corners, etc. Very neat.

I rarely receive or give gifts any more. So I just tear open the few presents I do get, lol.
